“Ask Ask a Spirit” Is Here!

May 30, 2008

UPDATE – Effective February 1, 2009, the “Ask Ask a Spirit” feature has been discontinued.

I’m still tweaking the online form a bit, and may eventually opt to use a different service, but I’m happy to announce that “Ask Ask a Spirit” is here!

As mentioned in my previous post, here’s how it will work:

  • Readers will be able to submit their questions online here.
  • I will randomly choose one question every week or so to answer here on Ask a Spirit.
  • Anyone submitting a question will need to consent to have their question and my response made public here on the web site. (Names will be changed to protect the innocent.)
  • This is not to be considered a substitute for professional advice or help, and is “for entertainment purposes only”.
  • You must be over 18 to participate.

Note as of 6/13/2008 – I will not be answering questions submitted via the blog comments feature. Only questions submitted through the submission form will be considered.

If you spam my blog with “When will I die?” questions, they will be reported as spam and ignored.

Coming Soon… Ask “Ask a Spirit”!

May 29, 2008

One of the items listed in the Ask a Spirit poll is answers to reader-submitted questions. If you haven’t voted in the poll yet, you can do so here.

I’ve decided that I am going to try doing this for the summer months, and then, depending on the level of interest, may continue with it as a regular feature. I haven’t figured out all of the nuts and bolts of how it will work, but I do know this much:

  • Readers will be able to submit their questions online.

I should have this set up and ready to go by the weekend, so check back, or sign up to be notified of updates here.

Note as of 6/13/2008 – I will not be answering questions submitted via the blog comments feature. Only questions submitted through the submission form will be considered.

If you spam my blog with “When will I die?” questions, they will be reported as spam and ignored.

Walk Now for Autism NYC 2008

May 24, 2008

Autism Walk 2007

I will be participating in Walk Now for Autism in New York City on Sunday, June 22nd to help find a cure for autism. As some of you know, my nephew Jonathan is at the mild-to-moderate end of the autistic spectrum.

Walk Now for Autism
is our chance to make a difference in the fight against autism by raising money for autism research and heightening public awareness. Please join me in my efforts to help fund essential research. I will be walking in NYC in June, and would like you to support those affected by autism.

You can donate to Walk Now for Autism through my webpage at http://www.walknowforautism.org/newyorkcity/personal/carol2008

Any amount will help. Even a dollar goes a long way. If you are unable to make a donation (a situation I truly understand), your moral support as I prepare for the walk would be greatly appreciated.

It would be really great if you would take just 5 minutes to educate yourself about what autism is, and what it isn’t.

Donations can also be mailed to Autism Speaks using the donation form located on my page.

Autism is the second most common developmental disorder in the United States affecting one in every 150 children born today. Despite some promising discoveries, the cause of autism is unknown and a cure does not exist. Research is crucial. Every 20 minutes another child is diagnosed with autism. Not only must we find ways to improve the quality of life for children and adults with autism, but we also must find a cure, and soon.

Please join me in supporting Walk Now for Autism. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the more than 1 million Americans living with autism today.

Lynn Robinson & Real Prosperity

May 11, 2008

At this year’s “Being Fearless” conference, as usual, I ended up in the Omega bookstore. I’m not sure if it was fate, my guides or what, but I found myself at a table with copies of Real Prosperity by Lynn A. Robinson. I have copies of a few other books by Lynn, including Divine Intuition, which was one of the first books I read when I started out on my “psychic journey”, and Compass of the Soul, and I’ve loved both of them. So, I took being led to her book on intution and prosperity at a time when I was feeling everything but prosperous as a Divine sign, and purchased a copy.

Well, all I can say is “WOW!” Just reading the book started a chain of events and ideas flowing! Now, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Lynn at one of the “Being Fearless” conferences I attended a few years ago, and was assigned to one of her workshops as a volunteer. So, I already knew that she was, and still is, incredibly gifted and incredibly nice. What I didn’t know was that she has magical super-powers that somehow transcend time and space! I had only read about four or five pages on the subway, and I suddenly found myself getting ideas and insights left and right. I had to start writing them down on the last page of the book so that I wouldn’t forget them by the time I got home.

Real Prosperity is definitely worth reading, and I highly recommend it. In addition to being infused with magical super-powers, it also offers a wealth of advice, quotes and exercises to help you create abundance in your life.

Also, while we’re on the subject of Lynn Robinson, you simply must visit her web site and sign up for her Intuition Newsletter. It’s a monthly e-mail newsletter full of great stuff! It was there that I came across the link for My Inner World, which is another site that is well worth a visit, or two, or three. It’s a very unique and creative personal growth space on the web. If you like Planet SARK, you’ll love My Inner World.
